Jon grew up playing in various rock and roll bands in the Boston area. While traveling around the USA in his early 20’s he rediscovered his childhood love of folk and country music and spent the next few years traveling the country and busking in the streets. In 2011 he moved to New Orleans and spent the next years there, working as a musician and eventually writing songs and leading a band. 3 Albums were released under the name Jon Hatchett. Hatchett was his beloved grandmother’s maiden name and fit well, as Jon has been doing arborist work since the age of 13. Jon moved to Maine in the early 2020’s and has continued to play gigs and write songs, performing regularly and collaborating with other musicians. Jon’s next album, “Out On A Limb” will be released with his given name, Kashner, to mark a new stage in life, new artistic endeavors and musical stylings.
